Year of Moo Moo-meadows

2nd Day of Chinese Lunar New Year is when "married" daughters return home home, back to her parents. Not like " married" daughters never get to see her parents often, but women were traditionally married off, and will only have the opportunity to visit home during NY's. To celebrate CNY, our party poodle blinked her eyes while wishing everyone a happy MOO MOO year!!
Since it was rainy and cold, we spent the past few days racing down Moo moo-meadows with our Mario karts while getting foot Usqueeze massages. After eating non-stop, Wii Fit was a good indicator of how many Kilo's we've gained, argh! Check out our Wii Mii : my cousin Olivia, Jasmine, and my little cousin Aki's asleep... while my dad (in green) is so ready for a workout.
Check out Ivan's tummy ^_^. Opps, the conversation cliff & i are such a bore that Jasmine & Aki fell asleep..

"Work" Orientation

Work orientation doesn't seem too weird to begin with, but a 2 day orientation of team building activities, group photo sessions, acquiring a books of contacts, being named batch no. 0901 brought me back to days of freshman orientation in college. Only 5 out of 50 employees were females, where all males were engineers..which made me stand out even more as I introduced my psychology and music background. The only picture I took was our products from the design company we started up. Our goal was to manufacture a customized car for the rich. After our appointed company sales manager communicated with the client on her needs for a car, a team mate and I being appointed the "designers", quickly built a model for the mechnical engineers to refine the model. Mechanical enginners were good at refining the functions of the car, but also needed suggestions on the shape and color usage. The experience working with people from completely different backgrounds were challenging yet interesting & fun! Make a guess which car in the picture below is manufactured by the designer team?

Media Lab & Crew

Right after the count down break, we had to make up work on two of the following Saturdays before another break for the lunar new year. While some lucky friends had plenty of vacation days, or even having at least Sunday off, I attended 2 sessions of Nlp. The training's main objective was to bring awareness on how humans can utilize 5 senses while communicating. My main inspiration of this blog came from attending a full day workshop by Prof David Small from the MIT Media Lab, our creativity lab partner. David and his crew of graduate students shared their latest research on various topics surrounding design ecology. Instead of creating pure interactions, David designed products encompasing reactive components, meaning that there is a fluid communication between technology and humans. Of all the students who presented their work, the financial advisory wallet seemed like the hottest product people will be interested in, during this financial crisis. The wallet is attached with a programmed ID that makes it harder for the individual in opening up their wallet when he is low on budget for expenditure, based on the bank information that is linked through the ID tag. The more money that one saves, the wallet somehow expands or provides one with feeling of a wallet full of cash. What do you think of this idea?

Count down Singapore

A trip to S'pore sprung up as we got lucky with getting a reasonable air tickets during this busy holiday season. Taiwanese peeps love travelling whenever there are holidays, even when packages, tickets are sold at sky rocketed prices. I've become one of them, grabbing any and every opportunity to fly out. This trip to S'pore was the shortest ever, so... please pardon me for not contacting & meeting up with everyone. Re-living memories of being on the no. 7 double decker bus, taking a picture in front of the singapore botanical gardens main gate, shopping on orchard road, eating my favorite food~ fried carrot cake, sugar cane + lemon~ catching up with old friends rounds up my trip.

Ohoh, Kevin took us for Fish Spa!imagine getting a pedicure, but having fishes do the job. woo my, it was ticklish, but the boys love a bigger sensation by spending most of their time at the BIG fish pond.
